"CELESTE" is a classic traditional designed ketch that turns heads in every port she sails into. Her 4' 3" shoal draft full keel with cutaway forefoot allows her to access shallow bays while cruising. The large center cockpit is great for entertaining. She has spacious accommodations for six with private fore and aft cabins. The vessel has been set up to easily be sailed short handed with all control lines led to the cockpit and the roller furling jib has a self-tending boom. "CELESTE " has had only two owners. The first owner docked the vessel up the Pocasset River and cruised on Buzzard's Bay. The current owner has sailed the boat in FRESH WATER for the past 23 years on Lake Michigan
"CELESTE" has had a major renovation and upgrade which included : upgrading rigging, upgrading the electrical system, rebuilding the cockpit seats, new cockpit coamings, new teak handrails on house top, teak ship's wheel, adding interior trim and ceilings not found in the original construction, Awlgrip paint, and much more.
Construction: The hull is solid fiberglass. The Decks and cabin top are fiberglass over marine plywood. The cabin sides are varnished solid mahogany. The decks, cockpit and house top were painted with Awlgrip paint during the restoration of the vessel.
