The Cal 2-46 is a superb liveaboard and cruising boat. The deck salon provides a wonderful living area which is spacious and light. The sleeping quarters are well removed from the living area, so there is maximum privacy for all the crew.
The deck is user friendly, with easy access from the aft deck into the cockpit and nice, high hand holds along the coach roof as one moves forward from cockpit to foredeck. The boat has provision for a second forestay, so if you are going to be doing a lot of downwind sailing, you can sail wing-on-wing. There is a large lazarette in the aft deck, for storage - this amount of on-deck storage is unusual in a center cockpit. The cockpit locker, to port, opens up into an enormous workshop area that is part of the engine room.
Deck salon gives great views from inside
Full size engine room with workshop
Decks and hull in great condition
Argonauta has been cruised until recently and is loaded with cruising gear - read the specs to find out. You are getting a lot of boat for a great price, so if you are interested in a solid, blue water cruising boat, or live aboard, make an appointment to come and see 'Argonauta'.

The companionway takes you into a deck salon area with parquet flooring and large windows all round, providing excellent light and visibility. A raised dinette is found to port with galley to starboard. A heater is attached to the compression post, which is centrally situated in this space. Forward of the dinette is a large chart table with storage below. Stepping down into the forward accommodation, you find a large locker to port, head to starboard and the spacious v-berth directly ahead.
From the Salon, there is a walkthrough, on the starboard side, to the aft cabin. On the hull side of the walkthrough is storage. Amidships you find the electrical panel and a door to the (HUGE) engine room. The engine is positioned close to the door with a work area beyond it. The work area has a workbench, with bench grinder and storage, as well as place to stand. This space can be accessed down a ladder from the port cockpit locker.
The aft cabin has a settee, storage lockers, shelves, heater on the compression post for the mizzen mast, a large bunk, and a head.
