PRICE REDUCTION! Sail the coast and beyond in this solidly built boat. Recent updates to this vessel include new center hatch, new genoa sun strip on the 120, new dodger, sail cover, wheel cover and BBQ cover. Also just hauled out and new zincs installed!

Throughout the 50 year history of Tartan sailboats, the resourceful designers, engineers and boat builders of Tartan Yachts have continuously established new standards of performance, quality and craftsmanship. They have done so by staying true to providing Tartan Sailboat owners with a yacht that delivers fantastic accommodations, well-mannered sailing performance in all conditions, a safe and strong vessel, and some people would even say luxurious. These are offshore yachts and proudly carry CE certification for unlimited offshore use, Category A.

Tartan emerged on the auxiliary sailing yacht scene in the 1960s, with Charlie Britton and then with the collaboration Olin Stephens. In the 70s, Tartan developed ten new models. The most notable models were the Tartan 37 & Tartan 41. That’s where Carronade comes in. The skeg in combination with the rudder keeps the boat directionally stable. This one excels in big air and the multiple fore sail and furling allow one to change power according to wind strength.

Only 75 Tartan 41s were made. For the past few years, Carronade has spent most of her summers cruising along the BC North Coast and up to Alaska. You will not find many vessels that sail as well as she does. This exceptionally fast boat was built for IOR racing rules and is in excellent condition with a large inventory of sails and equipment. She is also well known as a racing boat on the British Columbia coast having competed in a number of Van Isle 360 races, Southern Straits, and Swiftsure races. There were two keel and mast configurations for this model; this one is the deep keel (7.0') and tall mast (58').  But it’s not just a racing vessel. It has a very rooming salon and cabin layout. You can enjoy family cruising on the weekend or you can be on your wildest adventure.

She has had an extensive refit over the past years, including a new Westerbeke 44B engine in 2006, shaft and dripless seal, replaced the fuel tank, replaced the windlass motor, refrigeration, new dodger, New Genoa 120 sunstrip and so much more. If you are looking for a truly amazing yacht, you need to see this one.

Here is a great quote from Patrick Mathieson, “Tartan, in conjunction with S&S, have produced a number of boats with excellent reputations, such as the 27, 30, 34 and 37, but of them all the 41 is probably the most exciting and it will almost certainly still be around long after today’s generation of "hot" ultra-light-build boats have begun to crack up.”

We would love to show you this incredible Tartan. Give us a call today and allow us to get you on board!!!
