Introduced in 1972, the Soverel 41 has attractive lines and, for her day, a fairly modern underbody with skeg-hung rudder and centerboard. Her interior is spacious and light, and functional. IXOYE appears to have had good care, having undergone a fairly complete refit in 2005/2006 by her current owners. Included in that refit was a new diesel engine, all new wiring (including mast), plumbing including new head and holding tank, and electronics, and a rebuilt Edson steering system. Note that the factory brochure mentions a shower in the head. IXOYE currently has no shower in the head, though one could easily be added. She was just launched and may easily be inspected. She is for sale due to sellers' plans to purchase a smaller sailboat.
