NEREID is a handsome 40´ Hinckley Bermuda 40 K/CB MK III Yawl, 1973 (Hull # 121). Highlights of this handsome yawl include her hull being painted in 1994 with awlgrip paint. In 2010 a major refit was undertaken by Kittery Point Yacht Yard for her owner, which included a 50 hp Yanmar diesel, new fuel tank, new exhaust system, new water tanks, new holding tank, new head, new 2010 batteries, new water pressure and bilge pumps, new electrical AC-DC panel, new Freedom 2000w inverter-charger, new S/S hot water heater, new Racor fuel filter and fuel polisher, new Lofrans anchor windlass, new standing rigging, new Lewmar S.T. winches, new Harken mainsheet traveler, new Doyle sails (main, mizzen, 135% genoa, navy blue sailcovers), four new portholes, all new electronics (ICOM VHF, SSB radios, Simrad AP24 Autopilot, Furuno radar, GPS plotter, depthsounder, speed-log), new interior cushions, new anchors, new teak steering wheel, new fairclough winter cover, and some new seacocks.
