PHOENIX is a 39.6m Expedition/Research/Sub-Tender/Adventure Yacht, ice sheathed with a range of half way around the world. She had a generous conversion ’04 -’08 in Rockland, Maine ($10m+). She now has a new yacht interior and all systems refurbished or replaced. Huge crane and deck space allow for vast research and/or tender/subs/toy deployment and storage. PHOENIX has had a successful charter record with over $1m in 2010. She was hauled and painted Spring 2011 including renewing the drive train.

The vessel is a1973 / 2008, steel built, 130' x 30' x 12.5'-15', Expedition/ Research/ Mother Ship/ Adventure Yacht with 6 guest staterooms and 9 crew berths. Phoenix has had a major $10,000,000+ refit over the past 5 years.

Originally built as a North Atlantic, fishing trawler, the new configuration eliminated the fish hold and created a new deck from the engine room aft to the lazarette. The original stern has been altered for a ladder, toys locker and dive platform. The new lower deck contains a massive engine room with redundant propulsion; large work shop; Captain's quarters with queen bed and head; four double berth crew cabins that share two heads; crew lounge and a storage room with chest freezer and a full size fridge.
