The Columbia 43 reaches 53 feet above the deck and is only 2 feet short of that of her sister yacht, the Columbia 50, but her total displacement is six and one-half tons less than the larger model. Her extruded aluminum mast is placed aft with a "J" measurement of 17.8" permitting the use of large headsails. She features a reverse transom, and her beam is 4" wider than that of the Columbia 50. The interior has a split level appearance, created by a raised cabin sole in the dinette and galley area. Owners stateroom is forward with head. She has teal trim throughout. The designer designed the racing deck for racing crews, and the divided cockpit allows the helmsman to be out of the way of the sheet handlers. | ||
