This may be a 1972 boat, but she has had many upgrades to her in the past 10 years. It started with 9 layers of glass being laid on her keel, manufacturing a more sturdy hull. New bottom paint with epoxy barrier coat was used next. From here the hull was painted a beautiful British Green. All thru-hulls were then changed out from the previous gatevalve systems to new modern thru-hulls. Both a/c units were upgraded to Marine Air 16K unit each. The entire 110 ac system was rewired along with a new a/c electric panel installation. A new Westerbeake 7.6KW generator was installed. New ultra-leather was used in the dinette area. Custom mattress installed in the aft cabin.  Both toilets were replaced, with the master changed over to electric. All new canvas with full enclosure was installed on the boat. Last year a completely new teak toe rail and eyebrow was installed on the boat at a cost of over $5,000.

Most recent addition in the past year was the addition of a new aft bimini covering the complete aft portion of the vessel.  The engines have been professionally serviced every year. New opening portlights installed in September, 2011.

The maintenance on this boat includes annual professional mechanic oil and filter changes, fuel tank pumped out and cleaned last year, new bottom paint every 2 years, new engine strainers, new bilge pumps installed, new carpet in aft compartment, galley and heads. Basically since we work at a boat yard, the boat has been in a constant state of upgrade.

This boat is a great live aboard and an economic traveler capable of running at much better speeds than most trawlers, using less fuel due to its sailboat hull with a full keel. This model was developed during the period where oil prices first started becoming a factor in energy usage.
