Morgan 38

Charley Morgan is one of the most prolific sailboat designer/builders of our time.  Pioneering the switch from wood to fiberglass hull construction Morgan built strong, rugged hulls that were quite fast on the race course.  This Morgan 38 is one of the “early classics” built between 1969 and 1971.  It is the most sought after model because Charley Morgan was hands on running the factory (the company was subsequently sold), only 80 of them were built, and they have the versatile keel/centerboard system.  A very high percentage of them are still on the water today. 

We have just taken this one in on trade and she is in great shape.  We had her surveyed and the surveyor was taken aback by the condition of the boat.  Strong hull and deck, interior looks terrific, updated electronics, new wiring and batteries.  One might be concerned about the engine in a boat this old but alas a newer Perkins 50 -1988 overhauled in 2008 when it was repowered and installed  You have to see her to appreciate what a find she is.  She will not last long as we price all of our trade-ins to move quickly.
