This 1969 35 ft Owens Concorde Fly Bridge Sedan with extended cabin, repowered with Marine Power 454s, is located out of the water in Clinton, CT, and a perfect project boat for a live aboard. A dose of sweat equity and splash her for a classic Flybidge sedan which also can answer for a live aboard.

Owens (owned by Brunswick) was a pioneer in the early days of fiberglass boat, building innovative quality fiberglass yachts under the Concorde name. These yachts remain popular among the classic yacht enthusiasts due to the quality of build and the open comfortable and sensible design. The 1969 Concorde was built with solid laid glass hulls and balsa cored decks.  The extended cabin translates to a spacious flying bridge with seating for five.

Below, the main salon supports lounge style furniture, the lower helm module has been removed for more living space. The separate down galley and dinette are separate from the lounge area. The galley is efficiently well equipped with a four burner propane cook top and oven, apartment size refrigerator freezer and a microwave oven.  The large head has an electric marine toilet, a vanity with sink and storage, and a separate stall shower. The forward stateroom is private and supports a comfortable double berth with plenty of storage.

This Concorde 35 Flybridge Sedan has been out of the water for the past couple of years. The hull appears to be in terrific shape.  On deck, she needs serious help with neglected bright work but all seems to be in order and in good shape. Below needs a good cleaning and clean out, but seems to be functional.

Since it has been some time since there has been power on board, it is not known what systems work, and which do not. I expect the twin Marine Power 454’s, which were installed sometime after 1989, are in good shape and should run fine. The genset appears to be original and looks a little dicey. Running gear appears to also be in good shape.

I expect that there is plenty of life left in this once proud yacht. At 35 feet, she could make a comfortable cruiser for a family of six, or a nicely mobile live aboard. But make no mistake, this boat needs a good thorough cleaning and clearing out. A good bit of elbow grease and you can enjoy life on the water with a classic fiberglass yacht.
