Ocean Tug (GPC)

This vessel is an open ocean tug/towing vessel. She is ABS Loadline classified, +A-1 Towing and + A.M.S. She is powered by two EMD 12-645-E5 Diesel engines producing a total of 4300 HP and is equipped with a Markey Single Drum Towing Winch containing 2200’ of 2-1/4” wire with two speeds. At HI setting the winch is capable of 25,000 lbs/100’ per minute and at Low setting 50,000 lbs/5’ per minute. Her Deck Capstan is a Markey CEW 60. A 78,000 gallon fuel capacity gives her tremendous range. The upper wheelhouse height of eye is 45’.
