When Charlie Morgan designed this centerboard cruiser/racer, which was essentially his first full production design, she was as big as most other boats of her overall length. In profile, she has a sweeping, moderately concave sheer. The ends of the boat are beautifully balanced: the bow profile is a slight convex curve; the overhanging counter aft is slightly concave. Esthetically, hull shapes of this period from the best designers are still hard to beat. And as far as sailing characteristics are concerned, you will be hard-pressed to find a better and more forgiving vessel than the Morgan 34. PATHFINDER is as close to being a one-owner boat as you can find. Her current owners have owned her since 1970 and have treated her with much care. They have recently refitted her with a Westerbeke Universal 35 HP diesel engine that moves her along effortlessly. She has a complete set of sails in good to very good condition, including a spinnaker and pole. If you are looking for an affordable and roomy cruiser in excellent condition her age, you will be hard-pressed to find a better value than PATHFINDER. | ||
