Classic 1967 Chris Craft motoryacht. MV Libertarian (ie lover of personal freedom, not the political party) is a well-appointed flush deck, diesel-powered motoryacht from the era when Chris Craft was the top boat manufacturer in the world. The boat has been completely repainted within the last two years, the decks refinished, the Detroit Diesel 6-71n engines start, run, and perform well--the boat is in ready-to-go condition. The double-planked mahogany hull has natural insulating properties that plastic and metal don't, so she's warm in winter and cool in summer; condensation and its associated smells simply don't happen on this boat. In all, this is an outstanding three-stateroom, three head (bathroom) boat with many deluxe appointments. Systems Information * Main propulsion: Detroit Diesel 6-71n (280hp each; ~2900 hours on both) * Generator: 7.5kw Kohler * Air Conditioning: 16kbtu reverse cycle (heat & cold) in galley/v-berth, 7kbtu in salon, 7kbtu in aft staterooms * Electrical, AC: 120v/30 amp shore power connectors (2 each side), 250/50 amp shore power connectors (1 each side), Original AC meters (volts and amps) fully functional) * Electrical, DC: Four 8-volt batteries in two banks power the original 32v systems, including engine start, one head, two bilge pumps (Rule 2000), and all interior DC lighting. By flipping a valve connected to a hose, the shower sump pump (a 32v Jabsco diaphragm pump) functions as a bilge pump that can remove all of the water from the deepest part of the bilge (the last 1.5" or so) that the Rule pumps cannot. The 32v system is charged by a Charles ferroresonant charger at the dock. Under way, the starboard engine's large-case alternator charges the batteries through an upgraded Balmar smart regulator with remote panel. * Eight 6-volt batteries in one 420Ah bank powers the Magnum Energy 2012 inverter w/remote panel, all 12v electronics, one head, three bilge pumps (one Rule 500 and two Rule 2000) and the anchor light. The 12v system is charged by the Magnum 2012 inverter/charger with remote panel at the dock. Under way, the port engine's large-case alternator charges the batteries through an upgraded Balmar smart regulator with remote panel. * Fresh water: two 100-gallon water tanks under the aft cabin bunks, 12-gallon hot water heater, new Jabsco pressure pump, and completely replumbed using PEX-a (not the home center stuff). * Black water: A 35-gallon holding tank has been retrofitted in the bilge compartment under the V-berth floor. All three toilets are connected to the tank via short sections of sanitary hose, the rest of the plumbing is odor-impervious 1.5" PVC pipe. The stainless pump-out fitting is located on the bow. This boat has ZERO odor problems. For detailed photos, videos, and historical and technical documentation, please call or email.
