ARANJI was designed and built for C. Wm. Lapworth, Naval Architect in Newport Beach, CA in 1966 by Yacht Dynamics of Torrance, CA. She is 48' overall and LWL 39', beam of 13' and a 7' draft. The hull, decks and cabin construction are of welded Kaiser #313 aircraft aluminul plate. The keel plating and backbone are 1/2" aluminum plate. Other hull plating is 3/8" thick. The topsides, deck, cabins and bulkheads are 5/16" thick. The numerous welded aluminum bulkheads and continuous one-piece main cabin coaming with aft cabin construction make ARANJI an exceptionally strong and rigid boat for ocean or world sailing.
ARANJI is powered by a Yanmar 4JH with only 485 hours on a complete rebuild. She has a Westerbeke 4kw gen, an 1800w Heart inverter, a very good suite of sails and is ready for that long range cruise or sailing the Pacific Northwest in total comfort and safety. | ||
