HULL #26!!!! THE " SEA ROAMER" IS A VERY WELL KEPT AND REFITTED 32 GRAND BANK SEDAN. OWNERS HAVE PUT OVER $70K INTO THIS VESSEL DURING THE TIME THEY HAVE OWNED IT. DEFINITELY WORTH TAKING A LOOK.
This 32 GB, has been lovingly restored, and there is not much to do at all. When the current owners purchased the vessel, they had the hull stripped, from caprails down to the bottom of the keel. Every plank was inspected, and once everything deemed to be in order, it was properly repainted, starting with a primer. Bottom coatings as well as topside paint were done. Once the boat was returned to the water, the forward cabin rooftop was removed and replaced, as well as the flybridge deck from the seating aft, due to some issues found. The flybridge deck was not only rebuilt, but fiberglassed too for rock solid strength! The owner's decided the full on replacement was a better route to take, than trying to repair patches at a time. The work has been very well done, and everything that was replaced was repainted once complete. New batteries and charger May 2017.
The aft deck sports a custom table, complete with carving of the San Juan's. All the teak decks have been refinished, as well as all of the varnish. There is a custom mount for the stainless BBQ, which allows it to swing outboard when using. All the handrail stanchions were removed and refinished. Up forward, the foredeck gives access to the 12VDC anchor windlass, 22lb Bruce anchor and anchor chain. New LED nav lights have been fitted too.
Into the salon, and you'll find the well equipped galley with propane stove/oven, and 110VAC/12VDC Norcold AC/DC refrigerator/freezer, as well as some official Grand Banks drying cloths! See pics! :-D All Upholstery recently replaced, and there is ample electronics at the lower helm, with a COMNAV 1001 Autopilot, Garmin GPSmap 182C (color) chartplotter, Furuno 1623 radar, Garmin 200 fishfinder, and ICOM IC-M422 VHF to provide all the necessary navigational assistance you'd need. The Pioneer stereo system provides great sound throughout the boat. The 110VAC electrical panel has been upgraded to a newer Blue Sea Systems panel. Opening the floor hatches allows access to the Lehman Turbocharged diesel engine, which still runs flawlessly. The salon windows, have 360deg new canvas covers for all of them, to give one complete privacy when needed. The Espar diesel heater (new 2005) gives ample heat to the vessel, and only sips fuel.
Forward and down the steps, takes you into the stateroom and head. All new paint, headliner, and upholstery makes for a comfortable area to rest up after a long day on the water. The head has a marine toilet, sink, and shower to clean up in. On top of the hanging locker, you will find a ProWatt 800 DC-AC inverter, for small loads like TV's, laptops, phone chargers etc.
From the aft deck, one ascends the teak ladder complete with non skid strips, to the flybridge. There is new canvas around the stanchions, as well as a new canvas bimini top. Flybridge upholstery is clean and in great condition. Engine controls, a compass, Autopilot control, radar reflector, propane tank locker and engine gauges are all to be found up here. The mast can be raised and lowered from the flybridge too.
All in all, the " Sea Roamer" is GB worthy of a GB enthusiast. Definitely a boat worth seeing.
