Sun Deck:
Forward on the sun deck is the expansive wheelhouse with veranda deck in front and bench seating surround. Aft of the wheelhouse is the Master’s double cabin and day cabin. The guests entertainment area occupies the remainder of this deck with an exceptional fully enclosed 360° observation tower overlooking the oversized 22-person Jacuzzi with glass bottom and sunning area with deck loungers and a fixed awning. To starboard (aft) is the fully equipped outside galley and BBQ area with waterspouts equipment and toys to port. Stairways to port & starboard lead down to the Owner’s deck.
Owner’s Deck:
Very similar to the sun deck above, the forward section of the superstructure is given over to the Owner’s private veranda deck with bench seating. The Owner’s cabin is vast (approx. 550ft²/51m²) with a central double bed, walk-in dressing rooms and an ensuite bathroom. The Jacuzzi is open-plan and forms a part of the Master cabin layout. Aft of this cabin is one VIP double cabin (approx. 335ft²/31m² ) with seating area and ensuite facilities. Moving aft is the central atrium/lobby connecting all three-guest accommodation areas. A balcony, to port & starboard overlooks the outstanding two-level duplex dining salon and elegant stairs lead down into the dining area itself. A comfortable wet bar and lounge area is aft and, passing through the aft doors, is a spacious semi-circular seating area with umbrellas.
Main Deck:
Below the foredeck (in the bow) are the two inflatable 24ft/7.32m tenders with cleverly hidden (recessed) boat crane. Stairs lead down to the lower guest accommodation and moving aft are four double guest staterooms (approx. 410ft²/38m² each). Aft of the guest cabins is a library (to starboard) with desk and twin ladies day heads (to port). The central lobby gives access up to the Owner’s deck and below to the lower guest accommodation.
Passing through the central lobby area is the main saloon (approx. 1,940ft²/180m²) which is divided into two areas:
The dining salon is forward with a large oval table capable of seating up to 26 guests. Stairs on either side lead up to the overhead balcony. Aft is the main saloon which includes a full wet bar to starboard, mini-grand piano and dance floor to port and a spacious seating area with sofas and coffee tables. Through the aft doors is the aft deck exterior dining area with two circular dining table and chairs. Twin stairways lead below to the aft boarding deck with passerelle.
Upper Lower Deck:
Forward are the two children’s cabins with bunk beds and shower room’s ensuite. Four additional guest cabins are located here with convertible double/twin berths and ensuite facilities. At the aft end of this corridor are the Chief Officer’s double cabins (to starboard)and the guests’ beauty salon (to port). In the main lobby area (to port) there is a side entrance/beach platform for easy access to the water and for boarding the ship’s tenders. An accommodation ladder also serves this platform from the main deck level. The entire aft section is dedicated to crew accommodation, crew lounge and the main galley with access below to the machinery spaces.
Lower Deck:
Forward is the impressive gymnasium and spar area including a 10-person Jacuzzi, sauna, exercise equipment, changing rooms and shower together with a small bar and seating area.
Aft of this are also located: the laundry and workshop/hobby room for the crew, suitcase storage, the engine room, generator room, storage rooms, freezer and refrigerator compartments.
SHERAKHAN was originally built in 1965 as a training ship for the Dutch Navy at the Vuyk & Zonen shipyard, Holland. She was purchased by her present Owner in 2002 and, since then(until early 2005); she underwent a complete rebuild with virtually everything onboard being replaced with new.
Hull:
Completely refaired and painted in 2008.
SHERAKHAN has been constructed, in many ways, with charter in mind, although any discerning Owner will appreciate the finer attention to detail and solid seaworthy construction that gives the distinction of a true ocean going ship that is ideally suited for any purpose or any voyage.
Imagination, style, individualism, flare, unique, robust….. are just some of the words that are being used to describe her and her Owners’ vision and it is the finished article that will be sure to impress all who sail in her or come into close proximity with her in the oceans, bays, marinas and anchorages during her travels.
