Designed by Philip Rhodes over 40 years ago, the Pearson Vanguard continues to enjoy great popularity. Almost 400 hulls were built, most of which are still sailing. At least one Vanguard has circumnavigated the globe. Many others have sailed offshore. Vanguards are known for their solid construction, beautiful sailing characteristics, attractive lines, and sensible and roomy interiors. An active owners group enhances the boat's desirability.
