Commissioned by the venerable Cornelius Shields, the firm of Sparkman and Stephens got it all just right when they designed the sloop that would be known as the classic Shields 30. Everything from the relatively large sail plan to the unclutter deck with its long and beautiful overhangs to the narrow beam and heavily ballasted full keel make this boat an absolute delight to sail whether you're out for a pleasant afternoon or seriously into class racing.

To top it off, "Sissy N" (hull no. 113) has just undergone a complete restoration including a newly painted hull, deck and cockpit, new non-slid, all new deck and cockpit teak, new 12-volt electrical system (including running lights and motor) and a fresh suit of sails. She will be sold with her canvas coverings and a 2006 Triad dual-axle trailer.
