The life of the DON GIOVANNI began in Kobe, Japan, in 1964. Conceived for efforts bordering on the absurd, she clocked up miles for three years in the titanic task of tugging gigantic blocks of concrete for the construction of the harbour of Lagos, Nigeria, on three-month voyages between Singapore and Africa. For several years she belonged to the di Napoli shipping company, whose anagram she still bears on the chimneys, a mark that is almost as indelible as a sailor’s tattoo. She has now been converted from a working tug to a classic, comfortable and luxurious motor yacht. DON GIOVANNI is a unique ship, with a personality all of her own that is difficult to match. She moves gently and elegantly with an impressive style; her huge/oversized, relentless machinery is safe and reliable with subtle details of pleasure. She cruises comfortably at nine knots, and it is highly unlikely that she will deviate from her course in bad weather. | ||
