1963, Cheoy Lee built, all teak, Sail No V130, classic Laurent Giles design, excellent pedigree, Yanmar 2YMS15 15hp inboard diesel fitted new in 2008, recent genoa, Garmin 555s Chart Plotter, Raymarine tillerpilot, fully equipped, "go anywhere" pocket cruiser.
October 2016, survey revealed a few issues hence drastic reduction in price to find her a good home;
The main problems are ..
1 The Beam shelf is badly affected by rot in way of some of the iron hanging knees
2 The steam bent timbers are also affected by rot behind the knees
3 The steam bent timbers are in a poor state behind most of the iron strap floors
4 The ply deck is delaminating in way of the join to the covering board

Built in 1963. Carvel wooden construction of Teak planking on Ipol frames with iron keel, marine ply decks with cream deck paint, Ivory painted topsides and varnished superstructure, aft cockpit, bermudan "Slutter" rig, 4 berths.

Slab reefing mainsail (2 reefs) with mainsail cover (cover new 4 years ago). Furlex 100S with No 1 Genoa (2010, Kemp). Jib/staysail. Welsh Pine mast & spars and stainless steel standing rigging (standing rigging replaced in 2001).
Yanmar 2YM15 14.5hp inboard diesel fitted new in 2008. 48 litre fuel tank, Heat exchanger. Shaft drive to 3 blade fixed propeller. Cruising speed under engine is around 4.5 to 5 knots. Alternator charging to 2 x 12v 75 Amp & 85 Amp hr batteries with Stirling Pro Digital Alternator 4 step management system.
Bronze pulpit, guardwires, boarding step on transom, tiller, self tailing sheet winches, bronze halyard winches, 2.4m Plastimo inflatable dinghy (2012) with retractable wheels on transom, 3.3hp Mariner outboard motor, 25lb main anchor with chain and warp, sampson post on foredeck, mooring warps and 8 fenders.
Plastimo bulkhead compass, Garmin 555s Chart Plotter and combined fish finder/echo sounder. Walker log in box, Raymarine windspeed and wind direction, Swiftec VHF radio, Raymarine ST1000+ tillerpilot, clock and barometer, hand held GPS, Icom hand held VHF, navigation lights, steaming light, tri-colour masthead light and anchor light.

Purchased by her current owners in 2000 and professionally surveyed at the time, "Varna" is a good example of these wonderful offshore cruising yachts. Designed by Laurent Giles and built by Cheoy Lee in Hong Kong of the finest materials with extensive use of teak and bronze and a lead ballast keel. These boats are built to last and rare to the market. In recent years "Varna" has been re-wired, re-engined with a new Yanmar twin cylinder 14.5hp diesel, shore power, new Stirling battery management system, new windows, her interior & exterior have been recently stripped and re-painted/re-varnished and she is presented in "ready to sail" condition. Her present owners have cruised Holland, France and the East Coast of the UK and have thoroughly enjoyed sailing her.
