A great opportunity to purchase a classic offshore race boat that hits 45knots!!
1963 Bertram 31 "H400 - Thunderstreak" was originally built for Tommy Sopwith for the 1963 Cowes to Torquay powerboat race. At that time it was built to a modified Ray Hunt design with a specially streamlined cabin to comply with the Cowes-Torquay rules.
It raced for a few years in the 1960s and was then modified further with the addition of a rear cabin and wheelhouse.
The current owners purchased her a few years ago with the intention of turning it back (as near as possible) to her original specification with the intention of fulfilling their ambition to attempt the 2015 Cowes to Torquay powerboat race this year.
