Additionally, the Mackenzie Cuttyhunk is known as one of the most seaworthy 26 footers designed, due to her full length keel, wide beam, and 6,000 lb displacement. This allows her to track well and handle the seas one finds in Buzzard's Bay, Nantucket Sound, and Maine waters, precisely the waters she was designed for.
The present owner of ARDIE purchased her in 2004 and as a boat restorer/woodworker, he has continued to improve and upgrade her both structurally and cosmetically.
