The Miller Fifers are a range of motorsailers built as yachts on traditional Scottish motor fishing boat lines, by James Miller & Sons, a very long-established builder of fishing boats. They are all solid, heavy boats, with excellent sea-keeping qualities. They are best described at 60/40 motorsailers, the accent being on power as the primary propulsion, with the sails giving additional drive, a steadier motion and reduced fuel consumption on offwind passages, as well as an emergency propulsion system. This example has been lovingly restored ready for offshore voyaging. | ||
