This is an extremely versatile ocean survey and support vessel capable of operating with extended autonomy in polar waters. It is a full fledged medium duty ice breaker and can perform ice breaking support operations. The vessel has been fully refit and upgraded in 2009-2010 with full servicing of machinery and the addition of a moon pool installation in 2011, upgrading of electronics and equipment including a new 20 ton crane and dry docking. The vessel sleeps 60+, has a large helipad with retractable hangar and has dedicated lab and office spaces. There are also 2 large cargo holds.
