Complete reactiviation and refurbishment in 2006 and 2007 with only limited steelwork, accommodation, mechanical, electrical and dry-docking left. Vessel was operational as private yacht under Canadian flag at the end 2007 and crossed from NS to NL in winter storm without a problem. Vessel has been laid up for past 2 years. This is a very sound vessel that would be a great platform for a go anywhere (including the Northwest passage) expedition yacht or survey vessel. The vessel has accommodations for 38 that can easily be converted to larger salons and ensuite staterooms. The large fuel capacity of around 150T and modest engine size allows any ocean crossing at a modest cost or can keep the vessel at sea for extended period. The back deck has room for up to 4 24ft utility craft (1 currently installed), or helideck. This leaves the main deck with 15 T crane clear for any other large toys you may want to bring along. 12,000 cf hold provides endless option to store expedition equipment and supplies, or conversion to additional fuel capacity. The vessel’s current care taker and project manager for the refurbishment is familiar with all systems of the vessel and has the ability to complete any work required to reactivate the vessel in short order and in low cost environment away from commercial shipyard.
