This is a very handsome and wonderful lobster yacht. Built in 1954 at Rockland Boat, it is perhaps the last example of Sulo Gronos craftsmanship. Built as a yacht for Watson Blair in Islesboro, Maine it came to be owned and operated by Captain Ralph Gray in Islesboro for some 30 years as the only means on and off the island on foggy nights. Totally rebuilt in 2003 by Pendleton Yacht Yard, it is now configured as an eye-catching picnic boat with Yanmar diesel, cuddy cabin, and head. GROWLER has been re-ribbed and refastened, with new floors, new decks covered with Dynell, new cabin, new motor, electronics, tankage---with every system new. Freshly painted it needs nothing. GROWLER comes with USCG safety package, 5/8 dock lines, spare lines, 4 HTM2 fenders, throw ring w/line, boat hook, cleaning supplies, 2 offshore Type 1 PFD. With only 208 hours it is very lightly used. Professionally maintained by Pendleton Yacht Yard GROWLER needs nothing and is ready to go. It will not disappoint. | ||
