Rose of York has a straightforward construction consisting of English oak and elm in the center lines and frames with galvinized steele floors. Larch was used for the stringers, shelves and some deck beams. The deck trim and coamings are iroko with a canvas covered red pine deck. She was built for Col. Birch in 1952 and she was found to be well balanced and docile with plenty of deck space and sufficient accomodation for 5 people. | ||
