This is a 132’ high endurance Research/Expedition Vessel. She was fully refit with a Service Life Extension in 2005 and is in excellent, fully operational condition. She is stable, dependable, strong, seaworthy, and can take research and commercial missions farther and longer, to any ocean, economically, safely and in comfort. Her 8,000 mile range and long endurance makes her suitable for offshore deep water research sites, while her draft and maneuverability allow her into rivers and lagoons without having to anchor or stand by miles away from the research sites or service/support sites. This versatility has allowed her to successfully meet client requirements from the Gulf of Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, and the Equatorial Pacific Caribbean to the Atlantic Ocean. She is very economical to operate as she only consumes 1.5 tons of fuel per day at 8.5 knots. This vessel is ready to sail across the globe today. Her rigging and layout are modifiable for your particular mission requirements. The vessel has been used for a number of movie and TV productions. She can carry 150-200 for special occasion celebrations and parties. The vessel has special historical significance since it was commissioned on D Day, June 6, 1944 and she is one of the last 7 remaining WWII Navy Vessels still in operation which are affectionately called the "Magnificent Seven". This vessel would make an excellent conversion to an expedition yacht or for adventure dive charters, dive support and much more. She is very reasonably priced for her condition and capabilities.
