Owner wants this boat sold...

Big roomy liveaboard... 10' ceiling... skylights! 16 foot wide main salon, apartment sized galley, huge bedroom. This boat has tons of character and attracts interest everywhere she goes. She had been a yard tug and fireboat for a WWII munitions factory in Alexandria, VA. She was retired and lay in a local shipyard for many years until she found her way into the current owner's life. He has lived aboard for over five years and transformed her into about the coolest waterfront condo on the east coast. He loves nautical antiques and has done a great job of outfitting her with lights, communication and artifacts from the period. The owner is an electrical systems designer and teacher and he has poured a lot of effort into outfitting her systems to make for a wonderfully comfortable liveaboard. She has the new LG Inverter HVAC system which is very efficient and quiet. In addition, she has a 100k btu diesel furnace. No need for a generator, she has AGM standby batteries and enough inverter power to stay off the grid for almost 2 weeks.

She was designed to be used by a couple and has one huge bedroom forward. There is a large ensuite bath and shower.

The outdoor spaces are very liveable and fun. Wide side decks, a large foredeck and a tiki-bar on the aft deck.

The bottom was replated 3/4" and the pilot house totally rebuilt. The owner removed the orginal engine and converted the 20' x 16' engine room to a beautiful loft-style great room. A new diesel engine was installed aft and drives the existing shaft and 5' diameter prop. The new (smaller) engine room still has enough space for a work bench, supplies and spares.

She has been used as a liveaboard at Gangplank Marina for over five years and the new owner can move right in to her existing slip.
