Delivered to Fred B. Barden who operated a large boatyard in Marion, MA.  Barden served as a broker for most of the 12 1/2 footers delivered to Buzzards Bay.

NUTHATCH was owned by one family in Cataumen, MA, which is at the head of Buzzards Bay, for her first 38 years.  She was then sold to Philip Hale at the Martha's Vineyard Shipyard.  He did some restoration work such as replacing the transom, adding some sister frames, and refastening.  Hale sold the boat to Steve Stang of West Simsbury, CT.  Stang sold the boat to Kyle Frand who in turn took the boat to Florida. 

NUTHATCH was the last 12 1/2 footer delivered from the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company.

She was restored during the winter of 2001-2002 by George Zachorne, a boat builder in Wickford, RI
