The schooner was designed in the famous Krupp shipyards in Kiel, Germany, with the intent to serve in the fleet of the Third Reich. It is said that "disguised" as harmless vessel has served to identify the boats of the enemy without him suspicious and report positions to German submarines, the dreaded U-boats.

La goletta è stata concepita nei famosi cantieri navali Krupp di Kiel, in Germania, con l'intento di prestare servizio nella flotta del Terzo Reich. Si narra che “travestita” da inoffensivo peschereccio sia servita per individuare le imbarcazioni del nemico senza insospettirlo e segnalare le posizioni ai sommergibili tedeschi, i temibili U-boot.
