Java is the first of the Concordia Yawls, built by Casey in 1939. The collaboration of Ray Hunt and Waldo Howland , a maritime legend, began with Java. In 2002 she was rebuilt as new by the International Yacht Restoration School. She is the only Concordia built originally to carry lead ballast and bronze bolts instead of iron. Java retains the simplicity of the original yawls, but is nicely equipped. What could be nicer than to own such a piece of history with the maintenance requirements of a new boat? | ||
