Originally built by the well known Bieritz shipyard in Germany as a shrimper, "Grete" was refitted as a yacht in 1978. In 2002 she was extensively refurbished and fitted out for a circumnavigation at the Christian Johnson Shipyard in Egernsund, Denmark. Grete has recently had a thorough going over at a shipyard with several planks replaced and much re-caulking done. She is a fine example of a proven workboat design converted to a comfortable live aboard and world cruiser.
