Frequently referred to as "the prettiest boat in the harbor", ELLINOR was built in Sweden in 1936 as a sturdy, seakindly cruising ketch. Her present Owner and done much work to her over the last 20+ years but presently we feel she is suitable for coastal cruising and not offshore passage making. She has been out of the water since 2008 and will need at the least some exterior refinishing, painting and varnish. The in water photos here were taken in 2008 and do not acurately represent her current exterior cosmentic condition. OFFERS ENCOURAGED SELLER ANXIOUS.
A history compiled by her present Owner dating back to her launching is included. ELLINOR is oak planked on bent oak ribs, every 3rd rib steel. Copper fastened. 1/4" C-Flex hull sheathing in the early 1970s. Recently wooded and varnished main and mizzen masts and booms, DOYLE sails in 2002. 1990 PERKINS PRIMA M60 FWC diesel with only 600 hrs, pressure H&C water, propane 2 burner stove with oven. SEALAND holding tank system. Tiller steering. Currently on land, spars stored indoors. | ||
