Built as a yacht by Gostelows of Boston. Very heavy construction of larch planking on grown oak frames with steamed intermediates. 4 berths in total. Thorough 2014 refit including a reconditioned Beta marine engine. Tidy boat in good sound condition, 2012 survey available.

Built as a yacht by Gostelows of Boston, Lincolnshire in 1936 to a design by S. Belchambers. The Gostelow yard built fishing boats and a number of yachts in the 1920’s and 30’s, some to their own design and some by outsiders. Their yachts usually reflect the substantial scantlings of their fishing boats and this yacht is no exception.
She has had a thorough refit in the past 5-years when the masts and spars have been stripped and revarnished, new forestay and cap shrouds fitted, the other standing rigging treated with black varnish and served, all blocks stripped and revarnished, coach-roof stripped and revarnished. New toe rails fitted, new running rigging, new navigation instruments, new cooker, new sail cover, fore hatch and sky-light covers, new sea toilet, sea cocks replaced, heads sea cocks stripped and serviced, new cabin stove and the whole boat has been repainted. She is presented in clean and tidy condition, appears very sound and strong and ready for sea.
She has a long keel, a full canoe stern with the rudder hung underneath, a sweet sheer with marked forward sheer and a delicate kick-up to the stern, good freeboard and good beam for her day making her a big, dry yacht capable of standing up to her canvas and taking considerable weather.

Straight laid solid yellow pine deck, caulked and payed in the traditional manner and painted over with non slip paint. 4″ Iroko toe rail all round.
Varnished teak coachroof coamings with bronze portholes. Sheathed plywood coachroof deck with a varnished mahogany skylight.
Deep self draining cockpit with varnished teak coamings and scrubbed teak thwarts. Bridge deck to the entrance hatch.

2 x 12 gallon stainless fuel tanks
2 x 30 gallon flexi water tanks under the settee berths.
1 12 volt start battery and 2 domestic batteries.
Very original interior joinery with plenty of varnished mahogany.
Steps down in to the very spacious cabin with galley to port and a large chart desk to starboard.
Galley has a 2 burner gas stove with oven and grill, single sink with manually pumped fresh water with a bronze Patay pump and plenty of stowage.
Saloon has a settee berth each side with lockers behind and a shelf under the deckhead.
Wood burning stove forward on the port side.
Starboard side passageway into the forepeak which had until recently a large double berth to port and a single to starboard. This has been removed in present ownership but could be reinstated quite easily. The forepeak is currently a very large storage area with a heads on the port side.
