Cross Wind was built during a time when craftsmen were artists and attention to detail was of paramount importance. Designed by Eldridge-McInnis and built by Geo Frank Lawson. She has been a labor of love for the present owner for 32 years! She is still a work in progress and is ready for a new caretaker to complete her restoration. Today Cross Wind is fiberglass over wood with solid 1 inch thick fiberglass skin at the turn of the bilge. Beneath the fiberglass she is cedar planking over oak frames. She has a Volvo MD3B diesel engine with approximately 1000 hours. She is fitted out with only the basics but could be made into a true classic cruiser without major expenditures. Once her restoration is complete she will be the center of attention in any harbor.
