HOPE HOPE is a beautiful example of a classic Universal Rule Q-class racing yacht designed by John Alden. The Q-class yachts, along with the Rs, represented some of the fiercest competition of the classic era of yacht racing. According to Francis Herreshoff, of all of the Universal Rule racing yachts, the Qs afforded the most room proportionally for their length. For anyone desiring a pedigreed classic racing yacht from a legendary yacht designer, that can also serve as a fine cruising yacht, HOPE can be well recommended.
