For many years the KELPIE has been said to be the fastest schooner on the West Coast of North America. This beautiful classic schooner has set many racing records since her launching in 1928. KELPIE is built of Mahogany and Fir with oak frames. During World War II KELPIE was used by the navy to patrol for submarines off the New England Coast. Recently she has had a complete refit and is ready for her next owner to win her next yacht race. In 2004 the legendary KELPIE was chartered by America's Cup skipper Dennis Conner to compete in the Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race. In 2007 KELPIE went through a major refit. Her stern was completely rebuilt and over $250,000 was spent building new custom hollow spruce masts. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to own a racing legend.
