"Adventuress" is the fine product of the legendary William Fife & Son and is one of the finest traditional Ketches in the World. Adventuress was originally constructed as a schooner at his Fife Yard in Fairlie, Clyde River Estuary on the West Coast of Scotland in 1924. She has recently completed an extensive rebuild to ensure structural integrity and to restore her original accommodation and deck layout. Much of the hull is original consisting of 2’’ Burmese teak planking over sistered oak frames substantially all of which have been replaced. The accommodation and deck structures have been rebuilt following the original Fife plans. One of only a few large Fife’s in North America, she has been certified by the Coast Guard as a small passenger “T” vessel to carry up to 33 persons.
