It is not exactly clear in what year Kijkduin came to Holland. But we do know that at 20/09 1929 the citizens and government of Den Helder presented her to the Royal Dutch Navy as a present for the 75th birthday of the academy. There after many an officer-to-be learned the deeper secrets of sailing on her decks.
Her beautiful lines and good condition provide for many thums-up.
No wonder with a classy lady of this age…
The interior is spacious and bright. The hull can easily inspected from the inside. The laced woodwork on cupboards and panels, together with the hot air heating provide for perfect ventilation.
She is easily manageable with a crew of only two, but the whole family is welcome… there is room enough!
