The 480 Catalina has to be one of the greatest cockpit motor yachts ever built. A popular boat, it's interior accommodations are roomy and well arranged, and there's plenty of entertaining space on the large aft deck and cockpit area. Keep in mind that this boat is actually the 426 Catalina with a six foot cockpit added to the aft along with extra fuel. The additional hull length makes it a better-looking boat and might even add a bit to it's performance. In my opinion, if you're going to have a motoryacht, then why not a cockpit motoryacht. You have the best of all world's. You have the bridge above for piloting and room for five to six guest's. You can move aft and down three steps, now you're on a large enclosed aft deck with wet bar and plenty of room to entertain. Now, if you want some sun, go aft and down three more steps to a very spacious cockpit, great for sitting, fishing, or even boarding on and off personal water craft. It doesn't get any better. This 1988 has only 321 original hours it's 7.4L Crusader engines.
