Originally designed by Charles Nicholson and built in 1899 at Camper and Nicholson in Gosport, England, BLACK SWAN started life as BRYNHILD with a yawl rig. Over the years, she has undergone several changes and different rig configurations. At one stage she was renamed CHANGRILLA, although she was eventually re-christened BLACK SWAN in the 1960’s. Today, after an extensive restoration project at the Beconcini yard in La Spezia, she is now carrying a gaff-rig, designed by the Faggioni Yacht Design Studio, and built by Harry Spencer. BLACK SWAN has accommodation for 8 to 10 guests. There are 4 double cabins all with en-suite facilities, and the owner’s stateroom is full-width. Forward of the saloon there is one child/nanny cabin, with upper and lower bunks. Guests have the choice of dining indoors in the saloon, or alternatively, on deck and enjoying the splendour of this beautiful traditional yacht. | ||
