BoatSure. The Full Condition or Insurance Survey.
This is the most comprehensive and detailed level of survey inspection covering all aspects of the YDSA Full Condition Survey and normal Insurance Company requirements.
This is a non-destructive survey of all accessible areas, and equipment as specified, per the terms, scope and limitations of survey, to provide an opinion on the condition and integrity of the hull and structure of the vessel and her equipment. Permission must be given by the owner for the removal of sample areas of antifouling and epoxy coatings in order to make a visual inspection for osmotic conditions. The report details all items inspected and highlights defects and recommendations for rectification or further investigation. Specifically for the intended purchase of a vessel and includes all major elements of the Full Condition Survey, with the addition of additional comment upon the maintenance requirements and cosmetic appearance of the vessel and equipment and comment upon exceptional or outstandingly good items. Whilst such items may not effect the structural integrity of the vessel these may have an impact upon market desireablity or valuation and therefore represent important considerations for a prospective purchaser.

An idependant market valuation statement involving a summary inspection of the vessel often required for finance or insurance or following a major refit.
Sea Trials.
Only so much can be assessed statically or ashore and there are significant benefits of a sea trial to measure the boats performance and to reinforce the findings or recommendations from the survey inspection.

New boat deliveries are often delayed and upon taking delivery of a new vessel your handover can become rushed, time is short and you are keen to start enjoying your new boat. Minor problems and oversights can ruin what should be a most enjoyable day and further difficulties often arise. Of course some things cannot be foreseen or avoided but a thorough pre-delivery inspection by Boatcare with twenty years experience of delivering and commissioning new boats can reduce problems and increase the enjoyment of the new boat experience.
