The lure of the Spanish coast, and his family who had moved out here years ago, naturally drew Tim into the marine industry where he managed a brokerage company before setting up Comfort Marine.
A couple of years ago I was looking for something outside of just brokerage, and identified a niche in the market: to combine new boat sales and brokerage, management and service, with an emphasis on the “service.” The name of my company – Comfort Marine – was dreamt up to give people an immediate feel-good factor and to include the image of being comfortable on the water; this image forms the basis of the company.
We operate from several offices in Spain and the Balearics, with a link to the USA, employing a team of experienced, dedicated personnel who speak English, Dutch, Spanish and German. Our level of experience is the best in the area and we can help in any sector of marine support from Almeria to Sotogrande. We offer a full brokerage and service package, taking care of routine upkeep of your yacht, power or sail. We want you, our customers, to enjoy your boat to the full. If you are buying or selling we can help you find the right boat or maintain your valuable asset as it should be maintained, to the highest standards.
There are loads of companies selling boats but we believe Comfort Marine is unique by specialising in provision of ultimate comfort to our marine clientele whatever their requirements.

New Boats
On the new boat side we represent a couple of brands of high quality boats. We are very proud to announce that we have just been appointed by the distributor for Spain and Portugal Aqua Marine as the agent for Aicon Yachts, who we will be representing on the south coast of Spain in Andalusia and Murcia. Acion Yachts is an Italian company manufacturing luxury power boats, based in Messina; they are renowned for building a stunning range of beautifully designed and very well finished yachts from 16 metres upwards.
This appointment neatly completes our portfolio of new boats that we offer for sale, and joins our Sonic range of offshore powerboats, Dehler for those wanting a sailing boat, and finally Rinker for the fun sportboats.
With Sonic we have a range of powerboats that have achieved winning results in various competitions. They are built to the highest standards and this good name extends an excellent after-sales service. We always have stock available and short delivery times for new orders. For instance, at this moment we have a Sonic 32 CC Open Sport available with a huge list of extras. This boat is capable of doing around 55 knots with two four-stroke 250 hp Mercury outboard engines. It is brand new and ready for direct delivery. A really spectacular boat that makes heads turn everywhere you take it.
We specialise in the sale and after sales service of fast and large powerboats and have built up a firm relationship with a number of owners of these powerboats who tend to change boats every two to four years. We support them from the very beginning of the purchasing process, helping them to choose the right brand, the right model and the appropriate options, colours and so on.
Brokerage
From the start we have been offering used boats for sale. The majority are not more than ten years old and are in great condition, and in the main have been serviced and maintained by Comfort Marine, giving us intimate knowledge of the general condition of the boats. Because of our high service and quality we attract a level of customers who find it worthwhile to spend money and time on keeping their boats in pristine condition and this is the reason we usually have brokerage boats that are in very good condition.
Services
An equally important part of our company is dedicated to maintenance, after-sales and yacht management. We have a nice list of yachts contracted for maintenance and sufficient staff to look after these boats. We work with the best quality products alongside good quality, experienced staff who have in-depth knowledge. The technical maintenance is always undertaken by official agents, not only because of warranty matters but also because of their product knowledge and all the appropriate gear and software to be able to service with a high standard.

Our dedicated maintenance and after-sales service covers everything from contract boat care, delivering a boat, polishing, teak works, gelcoat repairs, stainless steel welding, to interior reforms, installation of electronics, passarells, etc.
We supply a one-stop shopping service for those customers that are looking for quality and attention, and require a full provisioning service.
We can take care of skippers and crew on a permanent basis or just for a day if that is the requirement; we can take a client with family and friends or business relations for a day along the coast or to the best beach clubs around. We have the contacts to make reservations at the clubs or restaurants and make sure that our clients are being welcomed with a smile and a glass of Champagne. We can organise taxis, car hire, private jets, even a helicopter. We recognise that time is precious and every minute counts, so the client can spend all his valuable time with his guests while we take care of the boat and maybe the toys like jet-skis, tenders, etc. Also we will make sure that fridges are full, tanks are full and that the guests can enjoy a day on the water to the full. At the end of the day we will tidy up the boat again and prepare it for its next trip by taking off the garbage, refill the fridges, replenish water and fuel tanks and clean the entire boat.
