The company was formed in 1999 by the merging of Murray Fenton & Associates Limited with BMT Edon Liddiard Vince Limited.

BMT Murray Fenton, combines the long established marine consultancy practices of Edon Liddiard Vince, Murray Fenton and Morris Bowles, with the world wide marine technical consultancy skills of BMT, to provide an independent marine and ship surveying consultancy, operating world-wide from its UK bases in London, Southampton and South Shields and in Singapore.

Built around a core team of Marine Engineers, Master Mariners and Naval Architects - all with extensive practical Maritime experience – the company is focused on marine survey, salvage, accident and claims investigation arising from ship operations, marine engineering, naval architecture, navigation and pollution.

Ken Arnott is Managing Director of BMT Murray Fenton and Graeme Bowles and Jim Chubb are the Directors.
