Featured Boat 55' Oyster 55 1988 £220,000 Oyster 55 centre cockpit cutter rigged sloop designed by Holman and Pye and built by Oyster Marine, England in 1987. Flag: British. We sold this Oyster 55 to her current owner and we are very happy to have her back in brokerage. We were on board during last summer’s Oyster Regatta (2009) and were very impressed to find that the good boat we sold is much improved and ready to go blue-water cruising in perfect security with a new owner. The vessel has always been maintained to the highest standard as her owner mentions below. "She has now completed two circumnavigations so is equipped to a high standard for self-sufficiency offshore. Following an extensive refit in 2003 she sailed to the Caribbean and then sailed on to New Zealand in 2004, where she cruised for 18 months.
