Lenard L. Lee CPYB
A Yacht Broker and Co-owner, Lenard brings to his clients the benefit of over twenty years in the Brokerage business and forty years of boating experience. Starting with the US Submarine School in 1960, he later obtained his first US Coast Guard Masters License in 1966.
He has worked as a Commercial Fisherman for seventeen years, is a Master in Oceanographic Research Vessels and has been the owner of many yachts through the years. Len knows boats!
Victoria Lee - Yacht Broker
Victoria Lee joined her husband Lenard in the business ten years ago after a successful management career in optics.
She brings administrative and accounting expertise to an office that prides itself in professional transactions and expert record keeping. Victoria enjoys working with Lenard and the staff and looks forward to her three hundred-step commute from home. When not in the office, you might find her on their 39 foot trawler, "Brut" with their Cairn Terrier, Captain Morgan, who enjoys their voyages anywhere from Mexico to the Pacific Northwest.
Steve Rock - Yacht Sales Associate
Stephen Rock is Ballena Bay's southern California Nordic Tug representative. Forty years of Boating experience including eight years as sales manager for custom yacht builder Geraghty Marine and ten years as President of Arthur DeFever Yacht and Ship Brokerage. Licensed Broker and member of Calif. Yacht Brokers Association. Offshore sailor and competitive racer. "I am knowledgeable in all aspects of yachting, from concept thru commissioning. Let me help you fulfill your dreams. I only represent the best, Nordic Tugs and Valiant Sailboats!"
Dave McGowan - Nordic Tugs & Valiant Yachts Product Manager & Yacht Sales Associate
After sailing around the world, Dave has held various roles in the Marine industry. With a USCG license he was a private yacht captain, delivery skipper and charter captain. Dave was the first store manager for West Marine in their Honolulu, Hawaii location and a Sales Representative for the Nation's largest Marine Rep firm, Derema Group. He has also lived aboard and cruised his own sailboat for more than 10 years. When not in the office, he can usually be found out on the water.
Steve Coghlan - Yacht Sales Associate
As a Northern California native, Steve was introduced to boating and water-skiing early in life. After a successful career in the Construction Industry Steve rekindled his love for boating learning to sail in the early 1980s.
Prior to joining Ballena Bay Yacht Brokers Steve delivered boats and cruised over 20,000 miles making trips from Alaska to Florida as well as the South Pacific. "I have only been sailing since the 80s so I am still green."
Having been in Yacht Sales since 1995 and a licensed Broker since 1997, Steve has specialized in cruising sailboats, trawlers and ocean-going motor yachts. "I feel I'm a valuable asset to Ballena Bay Yachts and am proud to represent Nordic Tugs & Valiant Sailboats."
Russell Huebschle - Yacht Sales Associate
Russ' passion for boats began while attending UC Berkeley when he began racing on SF Bay. After 10 years of racing around the cans, he decided to do some cruising.
After purchasing a 46 foot sloop in Auckland, he cruised some 7000 nm from New Zealand to Thailand, where he founded a sailing school and raced in numerous SE Asian Regattas. He joined Ballena Bay Yacht Brokers in 2007 and enjoys working to help people fulfill their cruising dreams.
Brian Lee
Brian Lee, a Graduate of the California Maritime Academy, has been assisting in the family business for many years. Since graduation, Brian has been employed as a Marine Superintendent with American President Lines in San Pedro. Brian is always ready to show you that perfect cruising boat in Southern California.
