How can I get an offer for my boat?  Just call to schedule a time to have your boat professionally appraised by a staff member. This process usually takes just a couple hours, and we'll give you a written offer that's good for 5 days when we're done.

How do you determine my offer?  First, we inspect your boat to determine its condition. Then we check your boat's interior, exterior, engine hours, and overall condition.  Excessive hours and wear and tear may decrease the offer. Lastly, we check the current market demand and competition for the year, make and model of your boat.  At Ballast Point Yachts, we don't buy or resell boats that are in poor mechanical condition, or boats that have significant damaged.

What if I owe more on my boat than the amount of your appraisal offer?  We'll calculate the difference between your pay-off and our offer to you. We'll accept a cashier's or certified check for the amount you owe and then pay off your finance company for you.

Do you accept trade-ins?  Yes, in some case we do. In fact, we can buy your boat even if you don't buy one from us.
