FACTORS LIMITING SURVEY
The vessel was inspected afloat and later ashore supported upon her own bilge keels allowing adequate access to her hull sides and bottom with the exception of the undersides of the keels.
Propulsion machinery, water and fuel tanks were all in situ, restricting access to her hull in way and restricting full inspection of these items.
Engine and Saildrive installation only was inspected; the engine was run at the time of survey.
The gas installation was inspected visually and should be routinely tested by a qualified (Corgi) gas engineer. Comments made in this report are, therefore, for information only.
Full access to the principal structure of the hull, deck and superstructure was not possible owing to the presence of surface paint coatings, non-portable linings, joinery, flooring and equipment.
The rig was inspected as far as was practical from deck level.
No dismantling of the vessel was carried out, except via normal portable hatches.
Nothing in this Agreement shall confer or purport to confer on any third party a benefit or right to enforce any term of this Agreement.
I have not inspected woodwork or other parts of the structure that are covered, unexposed and inaccessible and I am, therefore, unable to report that any such part of the structure is free from defect.
No liability whatsoever is accepted for any injury, death or damages arising from those parts of the vessel to which access could not be gained at the time of survey and on the strength of which I am unable to comment.
No liability whatsoever is accepted for latent design or construction defects.
This survey is not undertaken with any intention to ascertain that the vessel would comply with any rule, code of practice or conformity with National/ International standard as may be required by any authority under whose jurisdiction the vessel may be operated.
