Meet the Staff
MATT LOEW
I grew up in Southwest Michigan on my families 800 acre dairy farm, which is still owned and run by my mom and dad and 3 younger brothers. I stayed on the family farm through my high school years and learned a lot about life, dedication and hard work. I didn’t realize it then but that experience has helped shape who I am today, and I will be forever grateful for that opportunity.
I’ve always had a fascination with the water, be it fishing or boating or just being around it. I was fortunate enough to have a close friend who was involved in the boat business, and that is how I got my start almost 12 years ago. Since then I have worked for some large boat dealerships in Western Michigan and gained a lot of experience from it, but also learned that there were some areas in the brokerage industry that I thought I could improve on, which prompted me and a partner to start Anchorage Yacht Sales almost 8 years ago.
I have been happily married to my wife Nicole for 12 years and have 3 Awesome boys ages 7, 4 and 7 months! I am happy to say that my wife and kids enjoy boating as much as I do which usually means that you can find us out on the Lake almost any weekend during the summer.

JON DYKSTRA
My first boating experience started many years ago with a Sunfish sailboat on an inland lake at a local resort when I was only 8 years old. My love for boating and the water has only grown since that day. I grew up with a large family on an asparagus farm and was recruited to pick asparagus at a very young age. After school I stayed in a farming related industry working for a local John Deere dealership as an agricultural technician, but felt my talents could be better used in other fields. So off to other jobs I went that included excavating, demolition, and sales. I still wanted something more.
I found myself helping in the manufacturing and sales of the worlds first interactive, portable flight simulator that are in many entertainment centers and museums around the country. After I sold my half of the business I was looking for something new. I didn’t realize it at the time but a lifelong friend had the answer for me. The answer was selling boats!
I started at Anchorage Yacht Sales in the summer of 2006 and haven’t looked back. I have been married to my wonderful wife Jennie for 13 years now, and we have a great little boy named Isaac. We have both enjoyed boating in many places including the Great Lakes and Caribbean waters. Even though I am fairly new at the boat broker business I realize honesty, integrity and building relationships with my customers is a number one priority. I hope to see you and your family on the water.
